Q1449Cleopatra lived closer in time to the first Moon landing than to the building of the Great Pyramid of Giza.
The Great Pyramid was raised around 2560 BCE. Cleopatra died in 30 BCE — about 2,500 years later. The Apollo Moon landing came in 1969, roughly 2,000 years after her. The pyramids were already unimaginably ancient monuments in her own lifetime. Deep time hides in plain sight: the past we lump together as 'ancient' is stretched across gulfs longer than all of recorded history since.
