Q0581The CDC says physical activity can help you feel better, function better and sleep better. Even small movement is not only about weight; it also changes the day you are in.
The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) is the United States' national public-health agency, founded in 1946 and based in Atlanta. Its physical-activity guidance stresses that movement pays off immediately, not just decades later: a single session of moderate activity can sharpen thinking, ease anxiety, lower blood pressure and improve that night's sleep. The agency recommends about 150 minutes of moderate activity a week — but notes that any amount counts.
