OXO Good Grips began as a line of kitchen tools with large, soft handles for people whose hands hurt or struggled to grip.

The idea in context
Sam Farber watched his wife Betsey struggle with a traditional metal peeler because of arthritis. The result was not a medical gadget, but better everyday tools: peelers, knives and utensils with bigger, non-slip handles. Designing for limited grip made the kitchen easier for many hands.
