The idea in context
Sound is vibration moving through particles. Space may be full of radiation and fields, but without enough matter to vibrate, ordinary sound cannot travel the way it does in a room. This matters because films often give space dramatic noise for storytelling. The lesson: reality can be quieter than imagination.
