Modern phones casually store photos, videos and apps in amounts early computer rooms could not imagine. Early drives were mechanical, heavy and expensive, with tiny capacity by today’s standards. This matters because progress can hide the physical struggle behind ordinary convenience. The so-what: what feels small now was once room-sized ambition.
