Temperature measures the average motion energy of particles, not simply how hot something feels against your skin.

Why it matters

The idea in context

A metal object and a wooden object in the same room can have the same temperature, yet metal feels colder because it pulls heat from your skin faster. Thermometers measure one thing; nerves report another. The lesson is useful everywhere: sensation is data interpreted by a body, not raw reality itself.

Ders her yerde işe yarar: Duyum, bedenin yorumladığı veridir; ham gerçekliğin kendisi değildir.
